Our Principles

At Wimbledon School Holiday Club, we are committed to delivering a fun and enriching holiday club experience for your child. With many years of experience teaching and leading in primary schools, we understand how to nurture and engage children. Our holiday clubs are based upon our three key principles:

Be Active

Children aged 5 + should have at least 60 minutes daily of moderate physical activity. Our timetable ensures that the day is filled with opportunities to be physically active.

Be Healthy

Our sessions are designed to encourage physical and mental health. We discuss healthy eating and diet, as well as exploring strategies to promote good mental health.

Be Happy

There is something for everyone at WSHC. Routines will stay the same, but activities will vary to engage children, promote curiosity and challenge their active minds.

Our Day

Each day at WSHC will combine physical activity, creative opportunities and time to think about our physical and mental health.

  • Sports offered will include flag football, cricket, football and team games.

  • Our activities will include art (painting and drawing skills), sculpture (using clay or play-doh) and design & technology (making healthy snacks).

  • As part of our daily activities, we make links to physical health, discussing the importance of exercise and eating healthily. We talk about our mental health, the Zones of Regulation and practise strategies to get back to the ‘Green Zone’.
